What Actually Makes Same-Day Turnovers Riskier

A standard turnover has slack built in: the outgoing guest leaves in the morning, the incoming guest arrives in the afternoon or evening, and a late cleaner is an annoyance, not a crisis. A same-day, back-to-back booking removes that slack entirely. Every step, stripping beds, restocking the coffee station, checking the hot tub chemicals, has to happen inside a window that is often four hours or less, and there is no later slot to push a missed item into. The failure mode is not usually one big thing going wrong. It is two or three small delays stacking on top of each other until the guest is standing at the door before the room is ready.
